At Lone Oak Veterinary Clinic, our doctors use digital radiology to evaluate your pet's musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems.
Also known as an x-ray, digital radiology is an imaging tool that provides a painless, non-invasive method of examining your pet's internal organs and internal systems. The image quality of a digital x-ray is much higher than that of a film x-ray.
Unlike the ultrasound, digital radiology allows doctors to also visualize the internal anatomy of your pet's teeth, along with the roots and surrounding bone. This process allows our doctors to diagnose bone loss or hidden diseases that may be present in the roots of their teeth and jawbone areas that may not be visible during an oral exam prior to a dental procedure.
