Preventive Health Care
We perform health exams, fecal exams, spaying, neutering, and vaccinations. We also offer dental prophylaxis for our small animal patients.
Diagnosis of Small Animal Diseases and Disorders
In order to diagnose your pets condition we will first do a physical exam. Often we must rely on other diagnostic tests as well. We have film and digital radiograph equipment, ultrasound, endoscopy and in-clinic blood analysis to aid in the diagnosis of your pets problem. If necessary, we utilize the services of outside lab to accurately diagnose your pets condition. Generally these tests require one day to complete.
Medical Treatment of Small Animal Diseases and Conditions
In order to effectively manage your pets condition we may dispense medical treatments to be administered at home. In more severe cases, your pet may require hospitalization. Rest assured that your pet will receive the best care possible during his/her stay in our hospital. Should your pet require hospitalization, you are welcome to come and visit during our normal working hours.
Surgical Services
We offer the latest technology in surgical monitoring equipment to ensure that our surgical procedures are as safe as possible for our patients. We are able to perform a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic procedures. For the safety of your pet we offer pre-anaesthetic blood analysis and careful monitoring of your pet before, during, and after any surgical procedure.
Reproductive Services
We perform pre-breeding exams and testing, artificial insemination, pregnancy determination and cesarean sections. If you are considering breeding your dog, Here are some pros and cons.
Exotic Animal Services
At Lone Oak we do offer services for some exotic species including rodents, rabbits, and ferrets. Please call the clinic for more information
Important Client Information
If your pet is coughing, please leave him/her in your vehicle during check in. Our staff will place you and your pet in an examination room to prevent the possible spread of diseases such as kennel cough.
If you have a dog less than 1 year old that has diarrhea, vomiting, and/or depression please leave him/her in your vehicle during check in. Our staff will place you and your pet in an examination room to prevent the possible spread of diseases such as parvo.
If your pet has any gastrointestinal problems such as vomiting or diarrhea please bring a fresh fecal sample.
Please have your animal on a leash or in a carrier. Leashes are available in the front office.
